Miss Virginia United States - 2020
Katelyn Page
Katelyn Page is extremely honored to represent her state on the National stage in Palm Beach, Florida for the title of Miss United States 2020 in October.
Her platform is child advocacy and promoting advocacy among young people. She discovered
the impact that she could make by sharing her love of advocacy and wants to bring the platform
to a National level.
Katelyn is a Senior at Southern New Hampshire University and plans to graduate in October
with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Mental Health concentration. Katelyn hopes to
reduce the stigma surrounding mental health and to increase mental health awareness. She will
pursue graduate degrees in Forensic Psychology and Law.
At age twenty, Katelyn co-founded Empowered Beginnings and Beyond, which provides access
to prenatal education to under-served communities with the goal reducing maternal and infant
mortality and morbidity rates.
Katelyn is a Northern Virginia Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for neglected and
abused children where she works to ensure that the child’s best interests are served within the
court system.
She serves on the Board of Rise Against Hunger, an organization with the goal of eliminating
world hunger by 2040. Katelyn believes that no child should go without a meal.
Katelyn has served in a variety of roles, most notably as a Disaster Cycle Services Caseworker
with the American Red Cross in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hurricane Laura, and the
West Coast wildfires. She is honored to have been given the opportunity to deploy twice from
September through October.
