The Flying Samaratains is an international organization supporting doctors to provide free healthcare to communities in Mexico. Unlike many organizations that host one trip annually, the Flying Samaratains use donations to support monthly trips. For the past four years I have served the Flying Samaratains as faculty dentist. Because of the lack of access to dental care, I, far too often, had to remove permanent teeth on children because of decay. My Samaratains’ experience has compelled my husband to join the organization as pilot and together, this year, we plan to serve in Mexico together.
