Hailey Flowers

Hailey believes strongly in giving back to the community. She believes that by showing others kindness that the world will be a better place.
Hailey volunteers her time with:
-Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, running carnival booths at their annual fair for children affected by cancer
-NEGU the Jessie Reese Foundation making blankets for their JOY jars that are given to children going through cancer treatment
-Florence Sylvester Senior Center delivering Meals on Wheels
-Norman P. Murray Senior Center serving lunches and baking
-Operation Help a Hero, decorating cards, posters, and bags for soldiers returning from war
-Rancho Santa Margarita Public Library, helping with story time and crafts
-PADRE Foundation, teaching children with diabetes how to dance and walk on the runway
-South County Outreach stocking shelves and preparing school supplies and holiday gifts for families in need
-Southern Counties Rescue, helping with cat adoptions
-Carl Hankey K-8th and Mission Basilica San Juan schools teaching dance and choreography as an after school program
-Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, at registering guests at their annual fundraiser
-Operation Blankets of Love, bringing awareness to the need to help animals in shelters and crisis situations
-Lighthouse Ministries, serving meals to those living on the streets

Last summer Hailey did a voluntary internship with Rainbow Kids Achievement Center shadowing therapists working with special needs children. 
Hailey’s platform is Youth Suicide Prevention through Mental Health Awareness. Hailey has been spending her summer interning with the Shea Center for Therapeutic Riding, which helps use equine therapy for both mentally and physically challenged individuals. She is working with both her school district and community to bring awareness to mental health issues. She received a school district award for a lyrical dance she choreographed and dedicated to bringing awareness to the rising rate of youth suicide.
