Ms. Minnesota United States - 2019

Crystal Chappuis

Growing up in a dysfunctional and abusive environment, Crystal learned to be independent at a very young age.  In middle school, Crystal had the experience of being bullied, teased, and could be found alone during hours of the school day.  Through all of this, she chose to hold her head high with confidence and set out on a personal mission to help other girls like her.

This is why Crystal is passionate about “Girl Talk”, a non-profit organization founded in Atlanta, Georgia back in 2002 with a mission to “inspire all girls to be confident leaders through peer-to-peer mentoring programs.”

This organization provides framework for teenage girls to finding strength, learn new skills and create a supportive network.

High school girls develop leadership skills as they guide weekly meetings for middle school girls to learn vital skills during their most formative years. Their Vision for Girl Talk is we envision a world where all girls live confidently, lead fearlessly and support another.
