Melissa Perkins

As Mrs. Connecticut United States I want to be a voice of empowerment for all women.  I believe in every young girl there is a go-getter, innovator, risk-taker, and leader.  Through my work with Girl Scouts of Connecticut and in partnership with community agencies and youth development organizations I want to help girls find their voices, take healthy risks, and fearlessly explore new challenges. I know that girls and women are capable of incredible things and overcoming the challenges they face in every phase of their lives.  Women need to dream big and be bold.  As Mrs. Connecticut United States, I will be their champion, share their stories, and  work to inspire a future of women leaders.
